What is "Cyclists Welcome"?

"Cyclists Welcome" is a European regional cross-border quality mark, which guarantees a quality of service for cyclists in Banat who use the routes of the "Banat Greenway" corridor.

With the aim of positioning Banat as a cycle tourism destination of high quality service, by looking at examples of good practice of European cycle tourism destinations, Cyclist Welcome Quality standards were developed.

Establishing service quality standards for bicycle tourism in Banat - the certification scheme includes special criteria for evaluating services adapted to cycle tourists that are offered by the included accommodation, restaurants, pubs, wineries, tourist attractions . Certified facilities are marked with the prescribed mark.

The goal is to set quality standards and create better conditions for bicycle tourism on the paths of the Banat Greenway Corridor, and to continue expanding the network of certified services in Banat on both sides of the border even after the completion of the project.

Who can apply?

Any accommodation service provider who believes they can meet the required criteria can express interest in being included in the Banat „Cyclist Welcome“ system.
